H1N1 Project

In late autumn of 2009, in response to an urgent call for assistance issued by the Embassy of Ukraine to Canada, CUF organized a major effort to raise funds and provide needed medical supplies to combat the H1N1 flu epidemic in Ukraine. Several containers of such supplies were shipped to Ukraine. These supplies, after some customs-related difficulties, were distributed to several medical centers in Ukraine. This project was done with the cooperation of the Children of Chornobyl/Let Us Help The Children Funds.

CUF is grateful to the individuals and organizations (eg: Air Canada, Purolator, Lufthansa, Airport Warehouses and Customs Brokers) that provided their services at no charge.
