Berehomet Red Cross Hospital for the Aged, Berehomet, Bukovyna

This very successful and satisfying CUF project, operated out of Winnipeg, provides support for an extremely well-managed, and badly needed, hospital-residence for about 40 invalid, elderly Ukrainians. It is established in the beautiful former family home of Graf Vasylkiv, renowned member of the Austrian Parliament. It is located in the picturesque village of Berehomet-nad-Seretom, in Bukovyna. The project is well worth visiting to observe: a) how, with appropriate, dedicated management, such an establishment can be operated effectively, efficiently and humanely in Ukraine, and b) how a very small amount of assistance can go a long way!
