Holodomor Education

The Canada-Ukraine Foundation supports projects that contribute to commemoration and educational opportunities that spread awareness about the Holodomor famine-genocide of 1932-1933.  The Holodomor National Awareness Tour (HNAT), supported by the governments of Canada, Ontario, and Manitoba, is one project of the Canada-Ukraine Foundation that raises awareness of the Holodomor and strengthens the public’s understanding and commitment to human rights.  HNAT, through its creation of the Holodomor Mobile Classroom (HMC), travels across Canada, raising awareness of the Holodomor and promoting core Canadian values, demonstrating that lessons from this genocide are relevant in the world today.
