On Monday, May 27th, 2024, Mark Potts, Senior Strategic Accounts Manager at DRiV visited the Canada-Ukraine Foundation (CUF) offices in downtown Toronto to personally present our Slapshots for a Cause donation of $10,500 to Marianna Kaminska, Executive Coordinator at CUF.
“Marianna was beyond excited and appreciative of our $10,500 donation which exceeded our goal! CUF will put the money to work immediately supporting Ukrainians both here in Canada and Ukraine. This is the 3rd consecutive year Slapshots for a Cause has dedicated funding towards CUF given the ongoing need with the terrible Russian invasion into Ukraine which began in early 2022 and sadly continues,” stated Potts.
As well, the Canada-Ukrainian Foundation had this to say on their website: “We are truly grateful to the Board of Slapshots for a Cause for keeping Ukraine in their thoughts and once again donating to the #UkraineHumanitarianAppeal. Thank you for your generous gift of $10,500 that will go to support our continued vital humanitarian initiatives in Ukraine!”

Канадсько-українська фундація (Canada-Ukraine Foundation) передала Україні 10 автомобілів швидкої медичної допомоги класу С Ford Transit 2023 року випуску. Автівки спеціально виготовлені для потреб транспортування важкохворих пацієнтів.
Про це повідомили у Міністерстві охорони здоров’я України.
Зазначається, що ці « швидкі » мають повну комплектацію та необхідне медичне обладнання.
Як додали у відомстві, ці авто використають для розбудови національної системи медицини катастроф. « Швидкі » вже розподілені між центрами екстреної медичної допомоги та медицини катастроф Закарпатської, Львівської, Чернігівської, Сумської, Миколаївської, Херсонської та Хмельницької областей », — йдеться у повідомленні.
Загалом від початку повномасштабної війни канадсько-українська фундація передала для потреб охорони здоров’я 24 автомобілі, 100 апаратів штучної вентиляції легенів та медичні вироби для закладів охорони здоров’я. В Україні від початку повномасштабного вторгнення Росії знищено 261, пошкоджено 165 та викрадено 125 автомобілів швидкої допомоги.
Раніше у МОЗ інформували, що 40 багатопрофільних закладів охорони здоров’я отримають від Всесвітньої організації охорони здоров’я (ВООЗ) допоміжні засоби із реабілітації для комплектації кабінетів асистивних технологій.
4 квітня повідомлялось, що Кабмін ухвалив постанову, відповідно до якої телемедицину більше використовуватимуть при наданні медичної та реабілітаційної допомоги.

A course on this Soviet crime will be included in Canada’s Grade 10 history curriculum beginning in September 2025.
This is important news for the Ukrainian community in Canada, which has worked for years to raise global awareness of Joseph Stalin’s brutal campaign against Ukrainian identity.
In 2014, the Canada-Ukraine Foundation launched the National Holodomor Awareness Tour to educate Canadians about the Holodomor. This project helped Canadians learn more about the genocide, propaganda, and man-made famine perpetrated by the Soviet government in Ukraine. More than 70,000 people across Canada and students from more than 500 Canadian schools have heard lectures about the Holodomor in the mobile classroom.
The National Holodomor Information Tour has become an important communication and advocacy project that helped the government decide on the need to study this tragedy in schools.
The Government of Ontario also invested $400,000 to support the National Holodomor Awareness Tour and the mobile classroom on the Holodomor.
The news about this was published in more than 30 publications in Canada and Ukraine, and was also broadcast during the National Telethon on the 1+1 TV channel.
