This winter, your compassion is protecting families across Ukraine
Outside, winter is tightening its grip on Ukraine.
For families living in frontline and regularly targeted regions, cold temperatures arrive alongside damaged homes, shattered windows, and walls cracked by missile and drone strikes.
For many, winter is not simply a season — it is a test of survival.
Thanks to your generosity to the Canada-Ukraine Foundation (CUF), and the tireless work of our partner ReliefAid, that test is being met with action.
The destruction of housing remains one of the most visible and devastating consequences of the war. Families who once lived stable lives now face abandoned farmland, lost livelihoods, and homes that no longer protect them from the elements.
With CUF support, ReliefAid has enabled families in some of Ukraine’s most heavily affected regions to prepare their homes for the cold winter — restoring safety, dignity, and warmth at a moment when the need is urgent. Your donations have turned into tangible protection for families who are choosing to stay and rebuild.
ReliefAid’s winterization program delivers essential construction materials directly to households whose homes were damaged by Russian missile and drone attacks. These include construction mixes, sealing materials for interior and exterior repairs, and adhesives used to insulate damaged structures.

To date, ReliefAid has completed distributions across the Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions, including de-occupied, near-frontline settlements.
A total of 362 households — representing 977 people — have already been reached.
Among those supported, 31% are elderly, 7% are people living with a disability, and 4% are living with chronic illness.
This winter, your support is not symbolic — it is structural. It is in the sealed windows, reinforced walls, and insulated homes that will shelter Ukrainian families through the winter months as temperatures fall below freezing.
Our Holiday Campaign ends on January 12.
Your support toward the CUF-UCC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, our joint initiative with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, is still welcomed to help bring warmth, stability, and hope to Ukraine — exactly when it is needed most.

About the CUF-UCC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal
Launched in January 2022 as a joint initiative of the Canada-Ukraine Foundation and the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, the CUF-UCC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal (UHA) coordinates the efficient delivery of humanitarian aid in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Its efforts support displaced persons, medical care, emergency shelter, and food security—both within Ukraine and among those who have sought refuge elsewhere in Europe and in Canada. To date, UHA has provided close to $100 million in humanitarian aid, reaching over 6 million people through 300+ projects.
About the Canada-Ukraine Foundation
Founded in 1995 during the 18th Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC), the Canada-Ukraine Foundation (CUF) was established to coordinate, develop, and deliver humanitarian assistance from Canadians to Ukraine. CUF continues to play a vital role as a national charitable foundation, working to monitor, promote, and support humanitarian aid initiatives. Its mission includes evaluating projects, fostering collaboration among aid providers, setting strategic priorities, and ensuring resources are directed where they can have the greatest impact. CUF also serves as a forum for individuals and organizations—across community, private, and public sectors—committed to supporting Ukraine. In addition to its work abroad, CUF also supports related initiatives within Canada.
