Powering urgent recovery

Helping keep the water clean and flowing

When Russia attacks Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, one of the first targets is electricity. Without power, entire communities also lose access to safe drinking water. For millions of Ukrainians, this is now a daily reality.

According to UN estimates, 8.5 million Ukrainians lack access to safe drinking water, including more than 1.2 million children. For many families, restoring access to clean water is not simply about infrastructure. It is a matter of survival.

In frontline regions, mobile water purification stations have become a lifeline. Supported by the Canada-Ukraine Foundation (CUF), in partnership with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, these systems produce high-quality drinking water for daily use in communities where water systems have been damaged or destroyed.

Learn more about what impact Canadian generosity has had thanks to our partner Rebuild Ukraine (REUA) in this short video.

Six purification stations alone can provide reliable drinking water for 180,000 people for the next fifteen years.

For the communities receiving them, these stations represent more than technology. They represent care, solidarity, and hope.

Help keep clean water flowing.
